ABOUT LARYSA
I earned my Bachelor's Degree with Honors from Sumy State Music College in Ukraine and later completed a Doctorate Degree in Music at Sumy State Pedagogical Institute named after A.S. Makarenko.
Over the years, I have taught students of different ages and abilities, worked with music theory and performance, coached students for regional and international competitions, directed choirs, and helped young musicians develop confidence in their musical abilities.
Every student learns differently. That is why I adapt my lessons to each person's abilities, goals, interests, and pace of learning.Whether a student is discovering the piano for the first time, developing stronger technique, preparing for a performance, or simply learning music for enjoyment, I aim to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing.

WHAT I OFFER
Personalized piano instruction designed around each student's level, interests, and goals.Lessons can include piano technique, musical interpretation, sight-reading, scales, rhythm, repertoire, and performance skills. Beginners are welcome, and more experienced students can work toward developing greater confidence, musicality, and technical ability.
Lessons are available in person and online.
Understanding music makes playing an instrument more rewarding.Students can learn the fundamentals of music theory, including rhythm, pitch, tempo, chords, scales, notation, and musical structure. Lessons are adapted to the student's current knowledge and can range from the very basics to more advanced concepts.
Lessons are never limited to one tradition. Whether you want to develop classical technique, learn a favorite rock song, explore blues improvisation, or simply play the music that moves you — we build the curriculum around your goals.A strong musical foundation sounds the same whether you're playing Bach or the Beatles.
Starting from scratch? That's absolutely okay.Beginner lessons focus on building a comfortable foundation while making the learning process enjoyable. Students gradually develop basic technique, note reading, rhythm, coordination, and musical understanding through age-appropriate and engaging pieces.
Preparing for a recital, competition, audition, or another important performance?Lessons can be tailored toward performance preparation, with attention to musical interpretation, technique, confidence, and presentation.Students learn to approach performance with greater readiness.
Every student has different strengths, challenges, interests, and goals.Rather than following exactly the same approach with everyone, I adapt lessons to the individual student. Together, we can create a learning experience that is challenging enough to encourage progress while remaining positive and enjoyable.
